REVIEW: SHREK THE HALLS

11/04/08

Last year just after the
DVD release of Shrek 3, Dreamworks premiered a television
special called Shrek the Halls. Aired on the American
television network ABC, Shrek the Halls was well received by
television viewers. Giving the network decent number for the
November sweeps. This year just in the beginning of the
Holiday season Paramount Home Entertainment is releasing
this short Christmas tale of the world famous Oger in DVD
November 4, 2008.
The film takes place at the end of Shrek 3, Shrek, Fiona and
babies are living happily in the swamp, but Shrek life
changes as soon as Donkey tells him that Christmas is just
around the corner. To make thing worst Fiona totally agrees
with Donkey that Christmas will be a very special day.
Forcing Shrek to learn everything that there is about
Christmas.
The story in this short film is simple but effective for the
occasion. getting across a good message about
the real meaning of Christmas. All of the characters from
the Shrek series make an appearance in this film. I really
enjoyed this film along side my family and it is a good
start for the Holiday season.
