REVIEW: DON'T DRINK THE WATER
03/10/08

This
hilarious film classic from the late 60’s starring legendary
television and film star Jackie Gleason and based on a play
by Academy Award®-winning actor/director/writer Woody Allen
is being made available for the first time on DVD in the
United States on March 18, 2008.
In this slapstick comedy of errors, the Hollander family’s
European vacation is interrupted when their plane is forced
to land in communist “Vulgaria.” Walter Hollander (Gleason)
leaves the plane to take pictures which result in him being
accused of spying. Chased by Vulgarian soldiers, the family
is rushed to the American Embassy where their political
asylum begins to feel more like a comedic “insane asylum”
because the ambassador has left his inept son in charge.
